Physical activity and performance

Overview

The Activity Pillar evaluates your physical activity through calorie expenditure, dedicated exercise time, and the regularity of your activities. The calculation is based on WHO guidelines for physical activity [1].

Calculation
A = 0.35 × M_norm + 0.40 × E_norm + 0.25 × C_norm

Scientific Basis

The WHO recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate or 75 minutes of vigorous activity per week [1]. Research shows a clear dose-response relationship between exercise and health outcomes [2]. Consistency is considered as a separate factor, as regular activity demonstrably shows better health outcomes than sporadic training [3].

The weights are based on meta-analyses and may be adjusted in future versions.
